Admissions for stakeholders

The governing body at Kingsmead school, is consulting its stakeholders and partners on proposed changes to the admissions arrangements for the school from September 2020.

Proposed changes for the school are that entry number changes from 230 to 224.  We are looking to do this, to reduce the average class size from 29 to 28 in both form and teaching groups in order to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

The consultation document – outlining the rationale and the proposed changes - can be found at or is available in hard copy by post on request.

Full copies of the draft policies are available on the schools’ website at

In compliance with the requirements for such proposals, a period of six weeks will elapse before the consultation period closes on 8th January 2019.
