Kingsmead understands that students come to school to learn. This doesn’t just refer to learning how to solve quadratic equations or be able to ask for a sandwich in French. We recognise that these are formative years that act as a building block for life-long learning. We understand the need to equip our students with the skills and tools to be successful.
We have mapped these out in the personal development journey below. Year 7, 8 and 9 make up Key Stage 3 at Kingsmead. You can see how vital these are in establishing early personal development and where these then build to as our students progress. They get early opportunities to lead, to learn about different cultures, to develop resilience and team work skills… to name just a few.
