Raising Appeals

If you are concerned about a grade you have been awarded, you can submit a query by email to Mrs Gunner (Examinations Support Officer). Kingsmead School will then:

#  seek any information from the exam board which tells us how your final grade was calculated;

#  provide you with information about the opportunity to take an exam in the autumn series or in summer 2021;

#  advise you whether there is the necessary evidence to make an appeal to the exam board.

You can then ask Kingsmead to appeal raise an appeal with the exam board if there is evidence that shows:

#  Kingsmead made an administrative error when submitting your centre assessment grade or rank order information;

#  an exam board made a mistake when calculating, assigning or communicating a grade.

Or raise an internal appeal against Kingsmead’s decision:

#  not to seek any information the awarding body holds that would be needed for an appeal; and/or;

#  not to appeal to the awarding body.

You cannot:

#  appeal against your centre assessment grade(s) and position in the rank order;

#  appeal in respect of the process or procedure used by Kingsmead School in calculating your centre assessment grades and position in the rank order;

#  appeal directly in any respect to the awarding body.
