Kingsmead understands that students come to school to learn. This doesn’t just refer to learning how to solve quadratic equations or be able to ask for a sandwich in French. We recognise that these are formative years that act as a building block for life-long learning. We understand the need to equip our students with the skills and tools to be successful.
We have mapped these out in the personal development journey below. Year 10, and 11 make up Key Stage 4 at Kingsmead. You can see how vital these are in building on the successes of Key Stage 3 and preparing them for further study either at Kingsmead, colleagues, as an apprentice or High Education. They get opportunities to develop CV writing skills, practice interview technique, learn about basic financing … to name just a few.
