Parents

What is a Progress Report?

They provide a way for everyone to partner and work together to make sure that students achieve their potential.

Kingsmead School’s written progress reports include:

  • is your child doing as well as they can; and

  • your child’s attitude to home learning, behaviour, and their other achievements (we call this ‘attitude to learning’ (AtL)).

A personal learning checklist (PLC) is also issued for each subject alongside the report. This tells you what your child can and cannot do in each subject.

With each progress report is a letter, which:

  • directs parents to the My Child At School app, where they can find the latest information on the student’s attendance and behaviour; and

  • explains how parents can arrange a discussion about the report with a teacher.
