Key Stage 3

The KS3 Curriculum

Through our curriculum, we aim to support our students in KS3 to be the best that they can be through delivering an education that produced exceptional outcomes whilst promoting our RIME Values within everything we do in and out of the classroom.

KS3 is rooted in developing skills and areas of knowledge to prepare students for KS4 and the wider world.

In Key Stage 3, students follow the National Curriculum with an emphasis on cross-curricular skills that develop the expertise students need in all aspects of academic study.

Through our curriculum, the core values and skills of resilience, innovation, mindfulness and employability are thread throughout all subjects, promoting both quality learning and character

The Key Stage 3 curriculum runs through Years 7-9 and the timetable operates on a two-week cycle with a  Week 1 and a Week 2. It is an exciting, broad and enriching curriculum that ‘plants the roots of skills and knowledge that will prepare students for future study, ignite passions for talents and gifts and equip students with the tools to tackle the wider world with confidence; a curriculum that develops the whole person.

There are 25 lessons per week lasting 1 hour each. The Year 7 - 9 students enjoy the following lessons across the fortnight.
