Curriculum KS4 Overview

KS4 Information

The Key Stage 4 curriculum runs through Years 10 - 11 and the timetable operates on a two-week cycle with Week 1 and Week 2 differing.

There are 25 lessons per week lasting 1 hour each. The Year 10 - 11 students enjoy the following lessons across the fortnight:

Year 10

English - 10 lessons

Maths - 9 lessons

Science - 9 lessons

Option Subject 1 - 5 lessons

Option Subject 2 - 5 lessons

Option Subject 3 - 5 lessons

Option Subject 4 - 5 lessons

PE Qualification - 2 lessons

Year 11

English - 10 lessons

Maths - 10 lessons

Science - 10 lessons

PE Qualification - 5 lessons

Option Subject 1 - 5 lessons

Option Subject 2 - 5 lessons

Option Subject 3 - 5 lessons

Art, Animal Management, Business Studies, Combined Science, Triple Science, Computer Science, Creative Media, English Language, English Literature, French, Spanish (Y 10 cohort only) GCSE PE, BTEC PE, Geography, Health & Social Care, History, Information Technology (Y10 cohort only), Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Music, Performing Arts, Religious Studies, Design Technology, Dance (Y10 cohort only), Hospitality and Catering.
