Welcome to Sixth Form

Welcome to Kingsmead School Sixth Form!

At Kingsmead Sixth Form, we are incredibly proud of the destinations our students progress to after completing their studies. Our students’ strong academic outcomes open the door to a wide range of exciting opportunities, including places at prestigious Russell Group universities, leading universities across the UK, degree apprenticeships and vocational courses. This year, our results reflected this, with students moving on to impressive new opportunities. From Politics and Law at Queen’s University Belfast and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Liverpool, to Pharmacy, Mathematics, Civil Engineering, Sport and Law at the University of Birmingham, our students go on to pursue subjects that reflect their individual ambitions and interests.

University is just one of the many pathways available to our students. Each year, Kingsmead students also secure competitive apprenticeship opportunities, including degree apprenticeships with organisations such as the NHS, alongside places on vocational courses in areas including nursing, midwifery and primary education. Whatever their chosen route, our students leave Kingsmead equipped with the knowledge, skills, confidence and determination to take their next steps and succeed. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing all they go on to accomplish.

Regarding our recent A Level Results, Headteacher Mr. Averis said: “We are thrilled. Our students have worked hard, studied well and achieved fantastic grades. Celebrating with our students on Results Day is the standout highlight of the school year. Everyone at Kingsmead is proud of these achievements and wishes the students the very best as they move on to their chosen next steps.”
