Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)

What is the EPQ?

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a Level 3 qualification which is taken alongside your Sixth Form studies. You are required to independently complete a research project based on a topic of your choice that goes beyond the curriculum taught in other qualifications.

It is a great opportunity to explore a topic of your choice that you are curious and passionate about whilst gaining half an A level.

Why do the EPQ?

You will gain skills such as time management, organisations, presentation, and communication. Also, the EPQ is worth 28 UCAS points (half an A level). Additionally, it looks excellent on your personal statement.

How do I do the EPQ?

You will attend an hour session once a week where you will learn important skills that enable you to either write a 5000 word academic essay, or the creation of an artefact (piece of work) with a 1000 word written report.

The EPQ journey starts in September of Year 12 and completed by the following May.
