Entry Requirements: A minimum of a Grade 4 in English. A Pass at BTEC Level 2 or a Grade 4 in GCSE Business Studies if studied.

Why study business

On our Business course, students develop a strong understanding of the principles that underpin the world of business, finance and enterprise, while building a broad range of transferable skills that will support them in further study, employment and everyday life. Students learn to analyse information, solve problems, communicate effectively, work collaboratively and make informed decisions, alongside developing their understanding of finance, marketing, operations, human resources and the wider business environment.

These skills are highly valued across a wide range of careers and industries, from finance, accounting, banking and business management to marketing, human resources, sales, retail, entrepreneurship and project management.

Students who have previously studied Business at Kingsmead have progressed to a wide range of university courses, including Business Management, Finance and Accounting, while others have secured apprenticeships with leading organisations. Whether progressing to university, an apprenticeship or employment, the knowledge and skills developed through Business provide a strong foundation for a successful future.
