The Outdoor Classroom

At Kingsmead we immerse students into their learning. Our outdoor classroom is a space where students can learn and be inspired. 

Resilience – Students at Kingsmead experience a broad and balanced curriculum. It is a school where students are challenged and the outdoor classroom motivated students to think different and encourages students to fly. 

Innovation – The outdoor classroom supports with creativity, encourage decision making and experience learning in different ways.  

Mindfulness – Being outside offers us the opportunity to connect with our senses. Our outdoor classroom provides a safe space for students to continue to learn whilst in relaxing nature.  

Employability – Students feel responsible for maintaining the outdoor classroom to be an accessible learning environment and have inputs into how they would like the classroom to be used.
